The new cargo bike Ca Go Bike impresses with many clever solutions and elegant design.

Users of e-cargo bikes want high ranges and maximum safety for children. The company Ca Go from Koblenz offers with their cargo bike for both aspects very interesting solutions.
Ca Go is the name of a new cargo bike brand from Germany, which will launch its debut work from spring 2020 onwards. The Ca-Go bike offers in terms of equipment, technology and clever solutions a much higher degree of maturity than many currently common Cargoräder. The new brand was launched by Franc Arnold, who founded the accessories manufacturer Ergon in early 2000 for ergonomic bicycle components. Engineers from the auto and two-wheeled industries were involved in the development of its new e-cargo bike. (Photo: Ca Go) The most important element of the 2.70-meter-long and 70-centimeter-wide Long John model is a transport box made of lightweight and sturdy EPP foam. This offers an increased impact protection, because unlike wood boxes, it is yielding, crash-absorbing and splinter-free. The occupants' safety is enhanced by two ergonomic single seats with height-adjustable headrests, five-point safety belts with magnetic locks and even Isofix brackets. The latter allow the secure attachment of baby carriers. The high shoulder line of the box also prevents children leaning their arms outwards. Alternatively, the seats fold up without annoying installation work and thus free up the space for more luggage. The box holds 200 liters, which can even be closed watertight with a matching lid. The permissible total weight of just over 40 kilograms heavy wheel should be 250 kilograms. Optional transport solutions such as luggage nets and a lockable lid make transport easier. (Photo: Ca Go) The drive uses the recently introduced Cargo Line mid-engine from Bosch, which can be combined with up to two 625 Wh batteries. In a double pack, the batteries secured against impacts in a kind of vault under the cargobox are far beyond any doubt. The EPP foam encapsulated electric motor is combined with a quiet and clean belt drive and an infinitely variable Envolo hub gear. Also with the other components such as the Magura disc brakes, rear with 4-piston saddle, or the supernova lighting convinces the Ca Go. In addition, there are SKS fenders, a cable steering with servo function and a fork for Vorderrad.In view of the upscale level of equipment and the price will be high. Around 5500 euros should cost the basic version. The Ca Go can be pre-order online from the beginning of October. In the spring of 2020, it will then officially come onto the market in Germany.
